On August 5, 2019,
the Indian government scrapped Article 370 and revoked Kashmir’s semi-autonomous status. Kashmir was forced into lockdown.
One year on, the people of Kashmir continue
to live under curfew, and many are subjected to unspeakable torture every day.
As Muslims, it is our duty to stand with the oppressed, regardless of their race, ethnicity or religion. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Kashmir. India’s atrocities must cease.
