The Dubai International Holy Qur'an Award Committee under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, The Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has appreciated Dr Zakir Naik’s service to Islaam and conferred him with The Dubai International Holy Qur'an Award for Islamic Personality of the Year 1434 Hijri.
Dr Zakir Naik at the age of 47 has become the youngest recipient of the award and the
second Indian to receive the honour
after Maulana Sayyid AbuI Hassan AI
Nadawi.
He is now acclaimed among the league of Islamic Luminaries that
includes : Shaikh Yousuf Al Qardawi, Shaikh Mohammad Al Shirawi,
Shaikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais and others.
